Donald Trump seeks lower Oil prices, interest

U.S. President Donald Trump has called on OPEC and Saudi Arabia to reduce global oil prices while urging central banks around the world to cut interest rates immediately.

Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Thursday, Trump criticized oil producers for failing to act sooner to bring down crude oil costs.

He suggested that reducing oil prices could play a role in ending Russia’s war in Ukraine, stating: “Right now, the price is high enough that the war will continue. Bring it down, and you could end that war.”

Trump also encouraged international companies to shift their manufacturing to the United States, cautioning against importing goods into the American market, which could face heavy tariffs under his policies.

Promoting his economic agenda, Trump highlighted his tax cuts and deregulation efforts, describing them as part of a “revolution of common sense.”
