The management of Mbo Skills Acquisition training, under the auspices of Basujo Nigeria Limited, has concluded documentation for successful candidates who will be undergoing skills acquisition training.
The documentation event, which took place last Saturday, August 30, 2025, was held at the Miami Escape Event Centre in Oron.
The exercise marked a crucial step towards empowering 100 beneficiaries with valuable skills that will enhance their employability and self-reliance in areas such as oil and gas and maritime, Civil works, ICT, agriculture, tailoring, catering services, among others.
During the documentation process, the consultant of the programme, Mr John Bassey, charged beneficiaries to be of good conduct and to focus on the training so they can improve on their capacity for future opportunities.
John Bassey noted that while some categories of training will last for six months, others, in the oil and gas industry will last for one year.
According to Mr Bassey, the official takeoff to various training centers in Uyo, Eket, and Ibeno is scheduled for Friday, September 5, 2025.
He stated that buses will be stationed at the Miami Escape Event Centre on Oron Road, Oron, to facilitate the transportation of beneficiaries to their respective training centers.
He further assured beneficiaries that Mbo EMOIMEE board led by Chief Asuquo Inuikim, Chief Ita Ntekim, Chief Ulo Uye and Chief Edet E Okon have approved a free accommodation and feeding allowance which would be paid to trainees at the end of every month.
He also said the official kicked off of the programme on Saturday, September 20, 2025, will be performed by the leadership of EMOIMEE.
His words, “During this event, nomination letters will be issued to the trainees, formally inducting them into the program. This ceremony promises to be a momentous occasion, marking the beginning of a transformative experience for the beneficiaries.
“The training facilitators are Azi Marine and General Services LTD in Ibeno LGA, Dakkada Skills Acquisition Training Center in Ibiono LGA, Nigher Welding Training Institute in Eket LGA, and Netizens ICT Limited in Uyo LGA.
“Each of these centres is equipped with the necessary facilities and expertise to deliver high-quality training that meets industry standards.”
Successful candidates were issued admission letters, a formal recognition of their selection for the programme.
