2027: Mboho Ndito Nsit backs Umo Eno for second term

A major socio-political organisation in Akwa Ibom State, Mboho Ndito Nsit Worldwide, has thrown its weight behind Governor Umo Eno’s second term ambition, unanimously endorsing him for the 2027 governorship election.

The endorsement was the highpoint of a strategic meeting of elders, stakeholders, and members of the forum drawn from Nsit Atai, Nsit Ibom, Nsit Ubium, and parts of Eket Federal Constituency, held at Ndiya in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area on Wednesday, 1 April, 2026.

The group said its decision was informed by what it described as the governor’s sterling leadership qualities, giant infrastructural strides, people-focused programmes, and inclusive governance philosophy under the ARISE Agenda.

Addressing the gathering, the International President of the forum, Otuekong Ndueso Jackson, lauded Gov Eno’s performance in infrastructure, human capital development, peace building, and security.

He urged the people of Nsit Nation to publicly align with the governor and work collectively towards securing victory for him at the polls in 2027.

Jackson further charged members of the organisation to take the lead in spreading the achievements of the administration across communities in the area.

Speaking on behalf of the Nsit Elders Council, former commissioner for Agriculture, Prof. Trenchard Ibia, called for tolerance, peace, and unity of purpose among members.

He warned against division and character assassination, stressing that the overall growth and stability of the organisation must remain paramount.

Also lending his voice, Major General David Anietie (Rted) commended Gov Umo Eno’s life-touching interventions across critical sectors and urged members to deepen their commitment towards the goals of the forum.

The communiqué issued at the end of the meeting highlighted the governor’s achievements in education, healthcare, finance, hospitality, agriculture, and security, describing them as key indicators of purposeful leadership.

The group said the development has further boosted its morale to reaffirm unalloyed loyalty and support for the governor, while passing a vote of confidence on him to continue his “good works” through a second term in office.
