•As Antai lights up mood in Ebughu Ward 1
Sir Asuquo Inuikim, leader in Ebughu Ward 1 in Mbo Local Government Area, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to intensify mobilisation efforts and respect established leadership structures to ensure the party’s victory in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the APC state-wide ward meeting held on Friday, January 31, at St Luke’s Primary School, Okobo Ebughu, Inuikim emphasised the importance of unity and loyalty within the party.

He outlined the party’s leadership hierarchy, naming Senate President Godswill Akpabio as the national leader, Governor Umo Bassey Eno as the state leader, and Deputy Governor Senator Akon Eyakenyi as the leader in Oro Nation, with support from Rt Hon Victor Antai.
At the local level, he noted that the Mbo LGA chairman, Hon. Sunday Etim and chapter chairman, Comrade Benedict Ansa, lead the party, while the ward chairman, Mr Simon Frank oversees the leadership in Ebughu Ward 1.
Inuikim warned against secret meetings and actions capable of undermining party leadership, urging members to work together in good faith, with patience and strategic commitment, to achieve shared political goals and deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
He commended the ward chairman and party officials for their resilience during the ongoing e-registration exercise, which he said has placed Ebughu Ward 1 at the top in Mbo LGA.
He further urged party officers to remain vigilant and proactive as preparations continue, expressing hope for a possible extension of the registration exercise to enable wider mobilisation.

Chief Inuikim encouraged sustained hard work and unity, expressing confidence that such efforts would translate into a resounding APC victory in the 2027 polls.
Meanwhile, the executive director project of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Sir Victor Antai, stopped briefly at Ward 1, lighting up the meeting with warm donation and charging party faithful to remain steadfast and committed.
Other officials of the party present during the meeting included Sir Michael Essang, Mr Armstrong Ema, Elder Ita Iniekung, Comrade Victor Iboyo and many others.
