Arise With Renewed Hope Initiative announces Lagos Media Unit, Executive Committee 

The Arise With Renewed Hope Initiative, representing the Eket (Akwa Ibom South) Senatorial District in Lagos, has announced the formation of its Media and Publicity Unit alongside the inauguration of its full executive committee.

The development was disclosed in a press statement signed by the Senatorial District Coordinator, Chief Maurice Effiong Ukpong, FDM, who said the new media unit will lead the district’s communication strategy and public engagement efforts.

According to the statement, Mr. George Akpan has been appointed as the District Publicity/Media Officer and will chair the media unit, while Pastor Obed Ntekim will serve as Secretary. Other members of the unit include Barrister Eshiet Eshiet and Evangelist Odudu Arthur whose appointments take immediate effect.

The announcement follows the recent inauguration of the 15-member Senatorial District Executive Committee by the Lagos State Chapter Coordinator, Obong Otuekong Essien Jackson.

The newly inaugurated executive committee is headed by Chief Maurice Effiong Ukpong as Coordinator, with Barrister Eshiet Eshiet serving as Secretary. Other members include Obong Ukeme Peter Ukok (Treasurer), Mr. Enim S. Enim (Financial Secretary), Mr. Inemesit Inyang Ekong (Director of Mobilization), Mrs. Mercy Tom (Welfare Officer), and Evangelist Odudu Arthur Akpan (Administrative Secretary).

Additional officials are Mrs. Edith Gladstone Ukoima (Woman Leader), Mrs. Nkoyo Eddy Bassey (Deputy Woman Leader), Barrister Okon Uye (Legal Adviser), Barrister Ita Umiom (Organizing Secretary), Mr. George Akpan (Publicity/Media Officer), Mr. Ijah Ugbana Patrick (Provost), Ulap Okon Okim (Chairman, Advisory Council), and Mr. Joseph Tom Udo (Secretary, Advisory Council).

During the inauguration, Obong Otuekong Essien Jackson had charged the committee to advance the “Arise With Renewed Hope” mandate through grassroots mobilization and effective leadership.

He emphasized the need for sustained support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio, and Akwa Ibom State Governor Pastor Umo Bassey Eno.

In his acceptance remarks, Chief Ukpong stated that the initiative has already established operational structures across all twelve Local Government Areas in Lagos State. He added that the list of LGA coordinators has been finalized and is awaiting formal inauguration by the state leadership.

“We are committed to a grassroots movement that bridges the gap between our people in the diaspora and the transformative leadership at home and at the federal level,” Ukpong said.
