CAF postpones 2026 WAFCON

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially postponed the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Originally scheduled to take place in Morocco from 17 March to 3 April, the tournament has been rescheduled according to a statement released on the official CAF website yesterday, Thursday, 5 March.
New dates
The continental showpiece will remain in Morocco but is now set to hold from 25 July to 16August 2026.
According to reports from Daily Post, the decision to push back the dates was made to ensure the overall success of the tournament. It is understood that the host nation had previously requested a postponement to address internal logistical challenges and ongoing local controversies.
