Agriculture is a big focus of the Umo Eno’s administration and with the construction of rural roads, food transportation is a lot easier.

A fully digitized security building is ongoing and when this is completed it will monitor the entire state and wherever there’s a security it will immediately be nibbed in the bud. Apart from the provision of security vehicles and boats, the administration has also lighted up the 31 Divisional Police Headquarters in each of the local government areas of the state.

On the Arise Care Initiative, Umanah pointed out that more than 400 houses are being built for indigent citizens and more than two hundred homes have been given out so far. According to him, 78 billion have been paid to off- set gratuities of retirees in the state and the governor have been deliberate towards ensuring the well being of our retirees.

He emphasised that community projects are community nominated and whatever is being done by government was chosen by the community. This has helped in building synergy between government and the communities. He assured that this trajectory will continue in this administration.

While fielding questions from journalists on the rumoured defection of the governor, Umanah reaffirmed the governor’s position that nobody should read meaning to his body language because he has no body language and whatever he has to say he’ll communicate same to the people of AkwaIbom.

Events marking the 2nd year celebration of the Umo Eno’s administration will run from 17th May to 30th June. Activities lined up for the celebration include: Symbolic commissioning of local government Chairmen’s lodge in Eket, commissioning of roads, model primary schools and flagging off projects to mention few.

  1. An extreme comment borne out of an indulged vision. A satisfactory performance would have been okay for now. Non-functionaries of government should be the ones doing the scoring.
