Infidelity: Hilda Baci breaks feminine ties with unusual advice to married women

Popular celebrity chef and entrepreneur, Hilda Baci, has stirred widespread debate on social media following a blunt post on X (formerly Twitter) where she challenged women who justify infidelity as retaliation against unfaithful husbands.

In the viral post on Thursday noon, Baci questioned the logic behind what she described as “selective imitation of bad behaviour” in marriages.

She argued that while infidelity by a husband is clearly wrong, responding with the same act is neither empowering nor consistent, especially when women do not mirror their husbands’ positive responsibilities and financial commitments.

“If my husband cheats on me, I’ll cheat back, baby girl. If your husband makes 10 million, make your own 10 million.
If your husband pays school fees, pay school fees too.

“If your husband buys land, you buy land as well. Why is it only bad behaviour you people copy from your husbands?”

According to Baci, if equality and fairness are the driving forces behind such decisions, they should reflect across all aspects of marriage, financial contribution, investment, and family responsibility, not just moral failings.

Her remarks appear to challenge a growing online narrative where some women frame retaliatory infidelity as self-respect or empowerment.

Baci’s stance, however, suggests that true empowerment lies in personal growth, independence, and accountability rather than revenge.

The post has since sparked mixed reactions. While some users praised her for promoting discipline, self-worth, and consistency, others accused her of overlooking emotional pain and power imbalances that can exist in marriages.

Critics argue that her comments may oversimplify complex marital issues, while supporters insist she is calling for maturity rather than moral compromise.

Despite the divided opinions, Baci’s comments have reignited conversations around marriage, accountability, and the meaning of equality in relationships.

By refusing to align with what many consider a “feminine solidarity” response to infidelity, the chef has positioned herself firmly in favour of personal responsibility over emotional retaliation.
