The #AriseRenewedHopeMedia, a voluntary support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State, has clarified that the proposed construction of a new state secretariat for the party won’t utilize any funds from the state government’s purse.
According to the group, Governor Umo Eno announced plans to build a befitting party secretariat through private sector participation and voluntary contributions from party stakeholders during his official visit to the APC state party office on August 1, 2025.
Accordingly, the project will be executed with full transparency, and funding will be entirely through voluntary donations from party members and supporters, as confirmed by the Implementation Committee chaired by Sir Monday Uko (Monty).
The release maintained that other members of the committee include Obongemem Ekperikpe Ekpo, Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas); Obong Nsima Ekere, former Deputy Governor/2019 Governorship Candidate of APC; Distinguished Senator Ita Enang; and Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem, member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency.
“We wish to categorically state that the project will not utilize a single Kobo from the state government purse,” the group’s Director of Publicity, Ofonime Honesty, said.

“Funding will be entirely through voluntary donations from party members and supporters. The committee has been mandated to submit its preliminary report within 90 days.
“Party faithful are eager to offer voluntary support for the project, driven by their desire for a befitting state secretariat for the largest and most vibrant political party in Africa.
