The family of the late HRM Offong Engr Effiong Robin Amasi (OON, KJW), immediate past Paramount Ruler of Urue Offong/Oruko LGA, has disowned a burial invitation circulating for one Late Maria Amasi.
In a statement signed by Prince Dr. Okon Amasi, Family Head, the Royal Family described the obituary notice as “misleading and false.”
“We have no family member by the name Maria Amasi, and our late father had no association with such a person,” Prince Amasi clarified.
The family demanded that Catherine Charles Bassey, the signatory, immediately withdraw the publication and dissociate the late Royal Father’s name from it.
“This is a deliberate attempt to deceive the public and tarnish our family’s image,” Prince Amasi stated. “We urge the public to disregard this fake notice.”
The Royal Family reaffirmed its commitment to protecting its legacy and reputation.
