In line with the requirements of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), that host community trusts must periodically engage with stakeholders of communities to carry them along on ongoing and intended programmes and projects, the Mbo EMOIMEE officials, organised a stakeholders’ meeting on Saturday, August 2.
The event was held at the Town Hall, Enwang, where Mbo EMOIMEE members, through the BoT Member, Sir Asuquo Inuikim, enlightened stakeholders on the progress of work so far executed.
During the meeting, Sir Asuquo Inuikim, Mbo Board Member, together with Sir Ita Ntekim and Chief Edet E. Okon, listed various programmes so far executed and the ones underway.

Some of the projects highlighted included scholarship worth N400,000 for 200 students for both 2024 and 2025 sessions; empowerment for 843 beneficiaries; and medical workshop in the Five communities in 2024 where over 5,000 people benefited.
Other projects listed included street lights in villages across Mbo, selection of 100 beneficiaries across Mbo LGA for training in skills acquisition, award of contracts for rehabilitation of primary health centres across Mbo, selection of youths for EMOIMEE Vigilante’s, and end-of-the-year cultural fiesta, among others.
The meeting provided an opportunity for Mbo EMOIMEE members to update stakeholders on the progress of their projects and to showcase the impact of their initiatives on the community.
The stakeholders in attendance were able to get a firsthand account of the various projects that have been executed and those that are still underway.
Stakeholders also appreciated the efforts of Mbo EMOIMEE in improving the lives of the people in the five communities of the LGA.
The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Hon. Sunday Okon Etim, Chairman, Mbo LGA; Mr Edem Ntekim, President-General, Udesi Development Association; Chief Ita Awak, Barr Effiong Abia, Col. Joseph Eduok, Mr Victor Ntuen, Chairman, Forum of Youth Presidents in Mbo LGA; Prof Okon Eminue, among others.
