Rivers United top NPFL table

- Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt have returned to the top of the NPFL after a commanding victory of 3-0 over their El- Kanemi Warriors counterparts, in one of their rescheduled matches
Rivers broke the deadlock before the recess as their counterparts fought effortlessly for a parity.
However, the Finidi George- tutored boys doubled the score after capitalising on the defensive errors of the visitors.
The third goal came after returning from break to give the Rivers chaps an emphatic victory over the Warriors who would have to regroup themselves for the fixture to improve on their standing on the table
On the other hand, the Pride of Rivers State would have to work extra hard to maintain their stability as the momentum for the title rages on.
Meanwhile, the Flying Antelopes of Enugu are second on the table while Ikorodu City of Lagos occupy the third position with 45 points
