A convivial atmosphere ensued at the Uyo residence of the Senior Special Assistant to the Senate President on Legal Matters & Documentation, Hon. Barr. Aniefiok Dennis Akpan, as he hosted a festive gathering of stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
At the event which was drenched with camaraderie, Barr. Dennis congratulated the Etinan APC family for bonding together, impacting its members and conquering challenges throughout 2024.
He said being a trusted aide of the Senate President makes him an automatic beneficiary of the Party.
“I am a beneficiary of the APC, it feels really great to identify with and celebrate with you today in the spirit of the yuletide.
“This is not a one-off thing; we would be celebrating unceasingly by the grace of God. Etinan APC will continue to celebrate,” he declared.
The immediate past two-term member representing Etinan State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly prescribed that unity and love be upheld for the party to grow and succeed in Etinan.
He expressed his gratitude to Senate President Godswill Akpabio for being his benefactor and leader of the party in Akwa Ibom State.
Obong Ini Obot, the political leader, and chapter chairman, Comrade Israel Tommy encouraged the party members to work together towards a common goal.
“We must stand united and strong to achieve our objectives,” Obot advised.
“This show of love has to be sustained. Our host, Barr. Dennis has demonstrated the love we have been envisaging for long. May it continue,” Tommy added.
Obong Kingsley Peters, Prof. Usen Ikpe, Archbishop Andrew Unwanta and other stakeholders hailed Barr Dennis for coming to strengthen the party and for fostering a sense of community and solidarity among the Etinan APC stakeholders.
Well, it was not necessarily a day for long speeches – it was a day of merriments with plenty to savour and goodies to be taken home.
The stakeholders really had a memorable day with the ‘big fish’ whose affiliation with the APC has created a void in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Etinan LGA.
