Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has visited The House of Eyiboh (THoE) in Akpa Utong village of Esit Eket LGA, extending his heartfelt condolences to Rt. Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Special Adviser to the Senate President on Media and Publicity, over the passing of his mother, Late Deaconess Grace Sunday Eyiboh, who lived remarkably for 90 years.
Represented by Prince Nsikanabasi Umoekpo, his Special Assistant on Humanitarian Services, Gov Umo Eno expressed deep sorrow over the irreplaceable loss of the matriarch, urging the family to find solace in God’s love.
While acknowledging Deaconess Eyiboh’s legacies, Prince Umoekpo who was flanked by the Personal Assistant to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, Mrs Mfon Israel, prayed for Deaconess Eyiboh’s peaceful repose and asked for divine strength to sustain the family.
In his response, Rt Hon. Eseme Eyiboh appreciated the Governor’s compassionate leadership, describing the visit as a source of emotional support.
Praying for God’s blessings upon the Governor and his family, Eyiboh noted that Gov Eno’s attitude to the depressed and the downtrodden was well-known and would go down in history as a noble attribute that have endeared him to the people of the state.
“This gesture is characteristic of the governor’s empathetic leadership style, demonstrated by his attitude of visiting those who are depressed. I am eternally grateful to receive Gov Umo Eno and I don’t take this love for granted”, Eyiboh said.
