Trump sweeps all battle ground states taking his electoral college votes tally to 312
US President-elect Donald Trump Saturday advanced his electoral victory by winning Arizona State and its 11 electoral college votes.
With this development, Mr. Trump has swept all the battle ground states, taking his electoral college votes tally to 312, while his opponents’, VP Kamala Harris remains 226. It takes winning 270 electoral votes to clinch the American presidency.
The feat is the first such for the Republicans since 1988. The Party also flipped the Senate, while the full poll results for the House of Representatives are still being awaited.
On the popular votes, Trump polled 52.6% as against Harris’ 46.4%. He has posted perhaps the greatest political comeback in American history.♦
