The Honourable Federal Commissioner representing Akwa Ibom State at the National Population Commission (NPC), Abuja, Chief Benedict Ukpong, has congratulated Chief Effiong Asanwana on his inauguration as Council Member, Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe State.
Engr Ukpong made the commendation on Thursday, July 4, during the inauguration ceremony of Council Members at the National Universities Commission (NUC) in Abuja.
The Okete Okete-Oro expressed his joy and admiration for “Hon. Asanwana’s well-deserved appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR”.
He praised the leadership of the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON, for making the appointment possible.
“I sincerely thank our leader, Distinguished Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON, for his role in this appointment. His leadership and guidance have been instrumental in shaping the lives of many Nigerians,” Chief Ukpong said.
He also acknowledged the support of Her Excellency, Mrs. Ekaette Unoama Akpabio, describing her as a “motherly figure” who has shown immense love and care to the people of Akwa Ibom State.
“I am thrilled to see Chief Asanwana assume this position, and I have no doubt that he will excel in his duties. His wealth of experience and expertise will undoubtedly benefit the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe,” Chief Ukpong added.
Also speaking to WatchmanPost, the celebrator, Chief Effiong Asanwana thanked God for using human instruments in facilitating his elevation.
He pledged to offer his wealth of experience to the overall good of the Nigerian state, through his efficient and effective contribution to the growth and development of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Gombe.
