Newly inaugurated Council chairmen and members pay Thank You Visit to Senator Akpabio

A delegation of recently inaugurated Council Chairmen and Members of various Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education from Akwa Ibom State on Friday, paid a thank you visit to the President of the Senate, Dr. Godswill Akpabio, at his Abuja residence.

The delegation, led by the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Obong Stephen Ntukekpo, expressed their profound gratitude to Dr. Akpabio for his role in facilitating their appointments.

Obong Ntukekpo praised Dr. Akpabio for linking up the state with the federal government, describing the appointees as men of tested character and integrity who are ready to yield their wealth of experience to actualise the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The delegation included notable figures such as DIG Udom Ekpo-Udom, Chairman, Governing Council of the University of Calabar; Prof Chris Ekong; Chief Asanwana; and others.

Also in attendance were Chief Benedict Ukpong, Honourable Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission; Okete Okete-Oro; who join his friend, Hon. Effiong Asanwana for the visit.

The session which was moderated by Hon. (Dr) Patrick Umoh, Member representing Essien Udim, Ikot Ekpene, and Obot Akara Federal Constituency, was marked with high spirit as the Senate President promised do more for the people of the state.

Speaking to WatchmanPost on Friday evening, Engr Benedict Ukpong noted that the visit demonstrated the appreciation of the appointees for Dr. Akpabio’s support and leadership.

He further explained that the Senate President’s efforts in facilitating their appointments are seen as a testament to his commitment to the development of Akwa Ibom State and the nation at large.
